Terms of Use

Studyglot ("Studyglot", "we", "us") is a subscription web application. Studyglot generates bilingual study materials, including structured notes, a sourced glossary, and syllabus gap analysis, from documents you upload.
1. Eligibility & account.
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use Studyglot. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
2. Subscription & billing.
Studyglot offers two monthly subscription plans: Basic at US$7.99 per month, including 155 pages each month, and Elite at US$12.99 per month, including 280 pages and 3 syllabus gap analyses each month. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; see our Refund Policy. Pay by bank card, Apple Pay, Alipay, or WeChat Pay. Checkout shows the methods Paddle offers for your country, currency, device, and purchase type.
3. Your content.
You keep ownership of the documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the service. You confirm you have the right to upload and process that content, subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. AI-generated output.
Studyglot's outputs are AI-generated study aids produced by automated systems. They may contain errors or omissions and are not a substitute for the original source materials, professional instruction, or independent verification. Do not rely on them as authoritative.
5. Intellectual property.
The Studyglot software, design, and branding are owned by us.
6. Acceptable use.
Your use is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Disclaimers & liability.
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability for any loss arising from your use of the service.
8. Suspension & termination.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
9. Changes.
We may update these terms and our policies. If a change is material, we will email your account address at least 14 days before it takes effect; continued use after that date is acceptance. Non-material changes take effect when posted.
10. Add-on pages.
Add-on pages are sold in 100-page packs at US$8 per pack, and you may buy at most 2 packs per month. Add-on pages expire 60 days after purchase. You may hold at most 300 unused pages at once. Add-ons may be purchased only while your subscription is active. Unused pages remain usable after cancellation until they expire. Refunded or charged-back purchases have their pages revoked.
11. Gap analysis credits.
Gap analysis credits are available to Elite subscribers at US$4.99 each, up to 3 per month. Each credit adds one syllabus gap analysis. Credits expire 60 days after purchase, remain usable after cancellation until they expire, and are revoked if the purchase is refunded or charged back.
12. Content anomalies.
Pages count only when processing succeeds. Rarely, a document processes but part of the result is unusable because of a content anomaly (for example an AI provider declines the content, or the document exceeds processing limits partway). Those pages still count against your quota, but if this happens contact support within 30 days and we will re-credit them.
13. Governing law and disputes.
If you are resident in Kenya, these Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are resident anywhere else, these Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section deprives you of protections given to you by mandatory consumer-protection law where you live. Your purchase is a transaction with Paddle.com as Merchant of Record and is governed by Paddle's checkout terms; your use of the service is governed by these Terms.
